I create Polage® art, a term I coined from polarized light collage. All my work starts as a drawing. Then I follow the drawing, cutting various thicknesses of clear colorless cellulose in the form ofcellophane into hundreds of tiny pieces at different angles, laminating each piece between polarizing filters. When assembled in this way, these colorless materials separate white light into its component colors. Rotating one of the polarizing filters, either in front of or behind the art, causes the colors to change.
