Tortoise Exploring
This print is a detail from a much larger mural at the Spring Mountains Visitors Gateway at Kyle Canyon on Mount Charleston, Nevada. The entire piece of 25 different panels, is shaped to represent 18 iconic mountain peaks as they are seen from the Las Vegas valley, and has more than 150 species of plants and animals native to the area. In this panel, the viewer can see a Desert Tortoise, a Burrowing Owl, a Collared Lizard, a Kit Fox, a Panamink Chipmunk, and a Cactus Wren. These animals are exploring through Flora native to the area.
